so on Friday I went with my roommate who had some tickets to a Comedy club here in Portland. The headliner was Dat Phan, he won the very first "last comic standing" tv show on NBC back in 2003. Other than the time I got on stage this was only the 3rd time I've seen an actual standup gig. It was a much better learning experience than the others I've been to since these guys were totally professional and kept the crowd in check. Often picking on this one chick who wouldn't stfu that was sitting up front. I got to see how they take care of hecklers, drunk people, and just flat out rude people. I guess I can thank the "****ty" audience they had for all the learning I did that night. it's something I'd really like to get into, especially after dipping my foot into it a bit a few months ago. Saturday I was happy with all things college football, Tennessee didn't play but i was interested in a bunch of the other games happening so I was glued to the tv most of the day. Thank god for HD tv...it makes sports look so awesome...lol
