God I love staying in hotel rooms. They give me this nice warm and safe feeling, like I'm detached from the rest of the world and nothing can barge in and ruin or interrupt my mood. Back in my wilder meth days I had alot of friends who did hotel hopping. Staying in a different room every few nights. I still know a few people who do that... but none I actually hang out with or would go stay with.
I remember when my best friend once had this other friend of ours who worked as a securetary set up a killer hotel room for him at one of the nicer hotels in the valley for a business man discount price. Wow that was a nice room. All loaded up with apliences and such... nicer than any of our real living spaces that's for sure. We stayed there for two days, had people coming and going, basically a little party that lasted the whole time with plenty of getting high, card playing, and just kicking it.
Once I saved this friend of mine who traded new cars he stole in Illinois and drove across country for meth from this biker run chop shop here. He called me up and was like, "You gotta pick us up... things are going all kinds of wrong" So I went to pick him up at one of the motel 6s in town (actually that motel 6 has alot of history for me but that's another story) anyways... I pull up just as they're coming out of the motel room with their bags (him, his best friend, and this other guy who was the meth connection with the biker chop shop) They come down the stairs, throw their bags in my car and all get in... I back out... and just then we see the hotel manager and 4 police rounding the corner upstairs... just as I'm pulling out they knock on the hotel room door that they were all in just 30 seconds before. LOL talk about close calls I ended up getting them a room at another hotel down the street where they 'cut' the huge bag of meth he had gotten from the bikers for resale. They gave me oodles for saving them from the grips of bust... like a few hundred dollars worth at least. Plus we shared the room for the next few days (he paid) a nice sweet with a kitchen and two bedrooms. ahhhh good times... FWIW that's the friend of mine who's been in prison for the past 15 years (he should have been out by now, but it seems as though they've thrown away the key on him )
anyways... hotel rooms... I love 'em. I need to get one again sometime and have some peace for a day or two
it really is fun living in hotel rooms... IMO especially when you're in the world of drug dealers and hookers. There's something special that the 'lifestyle' adds to the whole experience
but honestly... just being a mundane in a hotel room is special enough. It's a good feeling.
