An unlikely combination...

So, I've been away for a few days visiting my grandmother, who lives near the Lake District smile - I don't think I need to give a description of what the area is like.

Amongst many other things, I visted the grave of William Wordsworth for the umpteenth time (as you do) in the village of Grasmere (very nice place - maybe I'll put some pics up, if you ask nicely).  I thought it was particular amusing that two of the books I had purchased that morning before going to Grasmere were Dune by Frank Herbert and Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein (they were recommended to me ages ago by BG and niffweed wink).

Anyway, there was nice scenery and stuff - we travelled in an open-top bus driving quite fast - we saw Lake Windermere, which is the largest and deepest lake in England.  There were lots of swans and other birds in a place called Bowness, and I got the John Grisham book The Brethren from a charity shop there wink - Cracka recommended that one - it's O.K., but I'm not liking it as much as The Broker, which I bought by mistake because I vaguely remembered to get a John Grisham book called The Br...something.  Which is why of course I try to write things down.
